Telecaster Two - 37 - Putting It All Together

Luke and I finally decided on our 'swish' shape for the head, it's something a little different but carries on the cutout theme from the body.  Also painting it blue to match the pickguard gives some nice continuity.

Here is Luke helping out on the next project, a Les Paul style guitar.  In the foreground is the body of the current Telecaster and in the background is the original prototype 'Scraps' all set up ready to jam!

Back to the current project, I have refitted the neck and positioned everything else on the body.  I am still waiting for the string ferrules to arrive and also the jack socket and cover plate.  But that doesn't stop me from mounting everything else including the pickups, bridge and control plate.

I found 3 tiny screws to mount the head plate.  It is purely decorative and is not intended to be a truss rod cover, in fact it shouldn't need to be removed to access the neck adjustment.  Ideally I would like to put 'DLP Guitars' on the plate and use it on all our future builds as a trade mark.

So in the picture below you can just about make out everything assembled.  I will put some decent pictures on once the wiring is completed and the last couple of components arrive and have been fitted.

Then maybe we can get some strings on the guitar and see how those P90s sound...
